Mallow Parish

Christmas Offerings for the Priests of the Parish may be handed in at any
of the Masses on next weekend, or at any of the Masses over the Christmas
period. Your offerings are much appreciated at this time. Please put your
offering in the envelope provided or any other envelope. We are also very
grateful for your generous support of the Offertory Collection at Christmas.


NOTICES

1. Sick Calls:- Please call 022—21251.
2. First Collection is always the Weekly Parish Offerings: Please put the green envelope in the basket at the Offertory.  Second Collection this weekend——blue envelope—is for Church and Parish Buildings Fund and will be taken up after Holy Communion.
3. Lectio Divina: Reflection and Prayer using the Scripture Readings of Advent, Mon., Dec.16th at 7.30 p.m. in Mercy Convent, Bathview. All are welcome.
4. Meals on Wheels Senior Citizens Free Christmas Tea Dance: Today, Sun., 15th Dec. 2 p.m. in Social Services Hall. To book your ticket phone 087 2891641.
5. A very sincere word of thanks to all involved in The Carol Concert on Sunday, last, 8th December. A beautiful concert enjoyed by all. The Concert can be viewed on
churchservices.tv/mallow.
6. Eucharistic Adoration: Volunteers needed to cover critical hours in Adoration Chapel: Sat. 1—2 a.m. / Sun.4—5 a.m. If you would like to commit to one of these hours or go on a rota, call the Parish Office 022 20276, Vincent 086 1085098, John 087 2539597.


Christmas Cards are on sale in the Parish Office, €6.00 per dozen.
Cards with Christmas Mass and Confession times are
available at the church doors—please take one.

Youth 2000—Prayer Meeting
Will run fortnightly in sacristyof Church of the Resurrection
2nd and 4th Friday of each month from 7—9 p.m. 
The prayer meeting is geared towards young people aged 15—35 
and consists of Eucharistic Adoration, Rosary, Reflection on the Gospel and Social. All welcome.

A new European Data Protection law — the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), was introduced on 25 May 2018.  This new law applies to any organisation, including our parish that manages and processes people's personal information.  We are now working on ways of ensuring that what we do with your information is compliant with this new law.  It is a work in progress and over the next few months we will keep you informed through the parish website and in the newsletter as policies are put in place.”

Shalom Ministries TV has produced a series of interviews with Irish priests on the theme of their vocation.  Among those recently interviewed are Mallow priests Fr. Sean Corkery and Archdeacon Gerard Casey. The Confession times in our churches have being adjusted as follows:-


  • Confessions: St. Mary’s—Saturday after 10 a.m. Mass and at 6 p.m.
  • Church of the Resurrection—Friday after 9.15 a.m. Mass. and Saturday at 7 p.m.
  • First Friday—before Mass—7.00 p.m. (in either church).

Holy Communion for those with a Coeliac Condition 
Holy Communion under the form of low-gluten consecrated hosts and consecrated wine,
which has no particle of a host in it, will be available at one distribution point at each weekend Mass in both Mallow Churches.
That distribution point will be at the front of the altar.
